Not sure if it's an improvement not not.... Though much more distinctive
It's funny. Karyan and I (as Reisl) got to this point the night before the 1.2 patch. The next day, we came on and, because we hadn't turned it in, it forced us to re-do it. So we got to see both versions of the headgear pretty close together.
To me, I liked the old versions better. I don't know why they felt compelled to change it. And the new style of the helms don't even fit the style or art pattern of the rest of the ensemble. The helms are more crisp and a different color gold than in their clothing. To me it's rather odd.
In Arab magazines, in ads for vacations and such, they draw full bathing suits over the women wearing bikinis. This looks like the same kind of slap-on "painted over" type of look.

Eek. I really don't like their new masks.. Originally I did this quest line with Kit, and I got chills just from watching the Dreadmasters walk into view and do their thing... So intimidating and cool.... I got to do it again with Alex recently, didn't know about the change, and when they walked out... I was like "HUH?!" Bitterly disappointed to be honest... How did that saying go again, oh yeah... If it's not broken, don't fix it!
